Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 SoC supports up to 8GB RAM
We didn’t get much about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, as it is just about to arrive in few of the latest smartphones. Most of those smartphones will be releasing next year in 2016, even the S820 chipsets haven’t seen anywhere in the market but Qualcomm has been a real faster to put efforts towards its next successor which will definitely feed the new smartphones with higher processing hardware. I know that its a way earlier to have the exact information of that chipset but still many updates are getting our way.
This next generation successor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 SoC coded as “MSM8998”, which can support up to 8GB of RAM according to the report of Chinese analyst ‘Pan Jituang’. The explanation of making this statement is to aware the industry of what they would be able to get in the future so that they can have an idea about how they would be consuming it. At this point, Extra RAM also gives us an idea of devices to get some extra-ordinary features.
Considering 8GB of RAM sounds super innovation but most of the smartphone users are more than happy with 2GB RAM at the current stage and will be amazed to have 4GB RAM in the upcoming smartphones so making such announcement right now sounds useless. Or might be these efforts have been made to remove hardware distance between personal computers and smartphones.
