Qmobile’s Biggest Phablet: Noir V5
Qmobile Noir V5
Well Qmobile certainly is being prolific regarding their releases of Phablets, you probably guessed it yes the new V5 is a phablet and the largest one to date that has been released by Qmobile. The Noir V5 features a 5.7” IPS true HD screen, a MTK6589T Quad Core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, along with 1 GB Ram and 16GB Rom. As is the case with previous models released by Qmobile this is also a clone of a certain foreign brand, this time it is the Gionee x817.
Comparison & Build Quality:
Unlike the Z3, the V5 according to the web has the option of expandable storage meaning you can use a micro SD Card to increase Storage, which is a definite plus point. Also it has dual SIM support, another plus point as compared to the Z3. It has a uni-body design so you know it will be considerably slim and the body is made of di-cast aluminum; meaning it should be durable.
From past experience we know that Qmobile’s smartphone cameras are usually of good quality and produce good results. In this device the main back camera is 13MPixel, and the front Cam is a decent 5Mpixel, so it should be good for skype calling and self shots.
One thing we should mention here is the battery; the Noir V5’s battery is a massive 3200mAh, given its size it should suffice for extended heavy gaming and multimedia functions, according to some sites on the net , the device has a standby time of 72hours.

According to the Qmobile website, the Noir V5 has some added features which we believe should be mentioned:
– DTS Sound
The DTS functionality should add whole new dimension to your gaming and movie experience, the sound quality of DTS is renowned all over for being the best in multimedia.
– Air Gesture
Although we don’t know how many of the gestures would be supported but just to give you an example it’s the same system incorporated by the Samsung Galaxy S4. So it’s a pretty neat function to be in a local smartphone.
Pros: The Special Features, Dual Sim Support
Cons: The price, no SD Card Support
The Qmobile Noir V5 is a sophisticated Phablet and a first to offer Air Gesture control among budget phones, the functionality, the specs they are all great. The problem is the V5 cannot be considered a budget phone since it has a price tag of Rs.32,500.
Yes it has special features which are unique to it, but there are smartphones available which have most of the specs and offer most of the features given in V5 but are much cheaper. So that’s the only drawback we could find in an otherwise immaculate smartphone by a great company.
