Another Phablet: Qmobile Noir A650.
Well I am not gonna say anything but Qmobile is slowly and very reluctantly realizing the future of the Phablet…..

Another Phablet has recently been launched by Qmobile the Noir A650, and surprisingly the price of the Noir A650 is relatively less than the A700. The A650 is available in the market for Rs.18,900
Let’s take a brief look at the new Noir A650 phablet shall we?
Processor: 1.2GHz Quadcore
GPU: Power VR 5XT (reference: whatmobile.pk)
Looking at the Quadcore Processor, we know that it should be able to handle most heavy Apps, the thing that really will decide if it will be able to run the apps efficiently and without lag is the Ram, given that it is 512MB, this configuration is not optimal for multi-tasking and heavy gaming.
The GPU is an advanced version of the current Power VR SGX 5 series, although it would render any heavy games with ease the drawback would again be the low RAM, it could cause slow performance of games.
(Previous example A500, where we received a lot of comments that people were facing degraded performance and that the A500 even got held during game play and even during normal operations)

854 x 480 pixels, 5.5” LCD
The Noir A650 phablet boasts a larger screen size which is 5.5” which is an improvement as it will allow for better multi-media experience, easier game play and watching movies would be a pleasure. The screen tech is an IPS LCD but the screen resolution is not True HD.

5Mpixel Back Cam
VGA front Cam
Qmobile usually has good Cameras as compared to its competition, yet I don’t understand why they would compromise on that, especially taking into account the front facing camera.
The Noir A650 is an Ok phablet, the reason we are saying that it is OK is because Qmobile cut down on the RAM to decrease the price, which is something that will reduce overall performance of the phablet, the thing about phablets is that the larger the screen the more processing power and battery power is required to show the graphics on the screen and having a smaller RAM size is not a wise thing to do, since more of the processing power will be taken up to render the graphics, a larger RAM can come in handy. As compared to other similar phablets in the market, the A650 does not have value for money, if a person were to buy this smartphone he would do so just for the Qmobile brand.
