The LG Product Expo
LG (Life’s Good) formerly known as Goldstar recently held its product expo in Lahore where they showcased their current as well as upcoming product lineup of home appliances, electronics and ofcourse their amazing line up of smartphones. We were really taken in awe by some of the technology that the have integrated in to their electronics especially their LED range, also they have customized their products according to the needs of our country and the problems we as the people living face in our day to day lives. Examples which we will shortly elaborate on are the battery TV, the mosquito repelling Air-Conditioner, and the ever cool refrigerator.
Although here at phone guru our main focus is with smartphones and mobile technology but we had to take note on other products as they really caught our eye. We have made a video review of the event and will give a description highlighting the products,

We got a glimpse of the new Tablet by LG and their line up of budget friendly phones which will vary between 15k and 25k in price. I am guessing they are going to make low budget smartphone market even more competitive, in the end its all good for the consumer.
LG had showcased numerous of their TVs, including theor 4k screen lineup as well as their smart and cinema 3d lineup, the best of all which we found was the world’s first OLED tv.
LG 4K TVs:
The largest one at the product expo was at a mind boggling 84″ now I don’t know if we could capture the clarity of this giant on our camera properly but this is one TV that if one can afford should buy. Its like having your own personal cinema at home without having to have the hassle of standing in line or the loss of privacy, that one faces when he goes to a regular cinema.
LG Bluray Home Theater:
The Bluray home theater was also a luxury not to be taken lightly having over 1000 Watts of power and 5.1Ch floor standing units is something you need to have if you want to complete your home cinema experience, oh did we mention that it is wireless? Yes imagine having clarity of sound without the clutter and tangle of wires to deal with, wishes do come true eh?
LG Cinema 3D:
We all know its cool to watch 3D movies and it’s the in thing and all, but they you are having a party over at your place and you have your grand 3D TV and suddenly your guests request to see a movie on it. Ok great no problem you say, but then you notice you have 5 3D glasses and there are 10 guests…. Oops and you know how expensive those active shutter glasses can be, well fret no more as LG has incorporated the passive 3D technology in their lineup of 3D tvs, so you can watch 3D content along with a large number of people at home without having to worry about the large expense you will incur while getting active shutter glasses. The passive 3D glasses which can be cheaply bought will do the trick.
LG World’s First OLED TV:
Now this is something that you haven’t seen before unless you can time travel into the future, LG introduced the world’s first OLED tv, with paper thin bezels and width, let me tell you we kid not when we say this TV is thinner than your regular cellphone. The picture quality is so amazing it’ll take you a while to comprehend it and you just might try and touch the screen to make sure its there and that it’s not a portal to another dimension. LG says they were able to achieve this exceptional clarity by adding in another color pixel, whereas normal TVs work on 3 this one works on 4.
LG Home Appliances
LG had showcased a great line up of refrigerators, washing machines, and air-conditioners, each had some very unique features which we will elaborate further.
LG Refrigerators Ever-Cool Technology:
LG has incorporated this technology in to one their refrigerators looking in to the current situation where we face black-outs, the refrigerator is able to keep cool for several hours without electricity, which is pretty handy given the current situation. Also the new line up of fridges are equipped with an enhanced energy saving compressor which helps save on electricity costs.
LG Air-Conditioners Mosquito deterrent technology:
You have to give it to LG they bring in technology and ease always keeping in the people in mind, the new line up of airconditioners by LG are made to work during higher temperatures and also given the recent problems of dengue which is called by mosquitoes LG has gone an extra mile to add a repellent technology that acts as a repellent, decreasing and/or eliminating the number of mosquitoes in the room where the air-con is used.
The air-conditioners themselves use a low energy consumption compressor so you know that it will help keep the energy bill low.
LG Washing Machines:
In comparison to the regular top load washing machines that are conventionally used, LG has introduced its high capacity front load machines which are able to handle heavier loads and make your life easier so that you don’t have to run down to the launderers for your curtains or blankets. Now you can clean and launder all that in the convenience of your own home.
