Video Review of the Genius Talk T220
Asalaamu-Alaikum , Hi everyone today we bring to you a review of the DanyTech Genius T220 Phablet, as you know previously we did a video review of the T500 which was a quadcore phablet. The T220 in comparison is a MTK 8312 dual core phablet clocked at 1.2 Ghz, it has 1GB Ram along with a Mali 400mp GPU.
One thing worth mentioning is that the T220 is running on the new Android KitKat OS, which has really enhanced its touch and overall performance, as you will see in the video.

Material Used and Design
The T220 we tested was Dark brown color and had a premium Matt finish to it which did not catch finger prints, It has a gold siding which gives it quite an executive look, although it is plastic it gives a premium finish.
The Genius Talk T220 is good to hold, it feels sturdy and durable, you get the sense that you are holding a high end phablet such as a Samsung.
Screen and Display:
The Genius Talk T220 has an high resolution display ( 600*1024 ) with 240 DPI, the screen is made out of hardened scratch resistant glass, the total viewable display size is 6.95 inches.
The T220 has an autofocus 5Mpixel rear camera along with supporting LED flash, it is able to capture 720p videos at 30fps. The front camera is 2Mpixels and the result from the front Camera was quite good as we’ll share in a later camera review, but it’s a good thing for people who take lots of selfies.
The Camera interface has a lot of options as you will see in the video, including voice capture and continuous shot as well as EIS (electronic image stabilization) for video recording.

Gaming on the Genius Talk T220
We tested two games on the T220, first subway surfers and then we tested a graphics intensive heavy game NOVA 3.
The T220 handled subway surfers quite well and no lag was seen at all during game play, also there was no graphic degradation either. Game play was smooth and played out pretty well.
We tested NOVA 3 on the Genius Talk T220 it was able to play it without any problems meaning any sort of lag; visual or audio for that matter.
There was no degradation seen during game play navigation and the graphics were rendered without any problems. The frame rate however cannot be compared to high end phones, for people using high end phones they might find gaming on the T220 a bit slow, but the good news for budget restricted people who want an affordable phablet that allows heavy game playability.
Multi-Media on the Genius Talk T220:
The T220 has an high resolution screen and it supports Full HD playback, we tested a couple of Full HD videos and it was able to play them without any lags or delays. Also The colors were crisp given the large size of the screen it covered up for it being a normal lcd.
One thing worth mentioning is that the T220 has stereo speakers which give it an edge as the sound being played is loud and crisp and you can actually feel the beat,
The browser functionality is also good it can stream videos in HTML 5 format and can also play Flash videos with a supported browser.
Benchmarks, Price, Pictures and Screenshots:
The benchmark score of the Genius Talk T220 varied between 13000 and 14000, which was very good given that it’s a dual core phablet, several factors affected this score such as the mali400 MpGPU and the latest Android KitKat OS.
The Genius Talk T220 is available from leading shops for Pak Rs.14,500. It comes wit a 1 year limited warranty and service support from DanyTech.
