Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update Has Started Rolling Out
After the successful release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the smart handsets, Some users have reported of getting a new android update which is ‘Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow’ via OTA. According to the XDA Developer forum thread, this update seems to be rolled out only to the second-generation Android One smartphones as these are the mainly sold phones in the smartphone industry.
Unluckily, Google has not announced any news about this Marshmallow update yet. Some images are shared by a HTC ROM developer named LlabTooFeR from an Android One phone showing the details of Android 6.0.1 update with build number MMB29K. The reports say that this update has introduced some minor bug fixes, stability improvements and although includes Google’s December security patch. Some users have also posted screenshots showing the size of Android 6.0.1 update notification as 87.5MB.
Rumors are spread out that Google is now planning to roll out next update Android 6.1 Marshmallow which is expected to be available from the starting next year.
